A head-on collision accident has happened between a Sprinter bus and a taxi near Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region. According to reports, four deaths have been recorded with other 14 persons injured.
The taxi had four persons on board and was heading from Obuasi to Dunkwa. On the other hand, the Sprinter bus had 18 persons onboard moving in the opposite lane.
According to reports, the tyre of the taxi got burnt and caused the car to veer of its lane into the other lane. Unfortunately, the Sprinter bus heading towards the side collided head-on with the taxi, leading to the accident.
Moreover, other reports revealed that the taxi caused the accident when the driver decided to overtake other leading vehicles in its lane.
The body of the four deceased persons has been deposited at the Dunkwa Government Hospital. Additionally, the fourteen persons who are injured are also in the same hospital. Most of them who are in very critical condition have been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
In conclusion, the case is under investigation at the Dunkwa-on-Offin Police Command in the Ashanti Region.
